PRESS RELEASE 8th session

The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina its 8th session in Sarajevo on 4 June 2014. The session was preceded by a working meeting.
Materials from the field of competition law and politics, as well as the internal work and functioning of the Competition Council, were discussed at the session.

The Notification of the concentration at the request of the undertaking “SEC ONE Group” d.o.o. Sarajevo, was rejected due to the non-existence of the obligation to report the concentration in the sense of Article 12, paragraph (1) of the Law on Competition.

An Opinion was issued at the request of the undertaking “Wald-Projekt” d.o.o. Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the working text of the Law on Forests, prepared by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
In the opinion, it is stated that the Request of the undertaking “Wald -Projekt” d.o.o. refers to the working text of the Law on Forests, which cannot be considered a draft, nor a proposal for a law on which the Competition Council issues an opinion on compliance with the Law. The Federal Ministry stated that, in accordance with the legal obligation, the preliminary draft of the Law on Forests will be submitted to the Competition Council in order to determine its compliance with the provisions of the Law on Competition.

Also, an Opinion was adopted on amendments to the Decision on the conditions and method of delivery of heat energy at the request of the undertaking Unis Energetika d.o.o. Sarajevo, as well as the Opinion on the draft Rulebook on general conditions for the supply of thermal energy in the urban area of the municipality of Travnik at the request of the undertaking Unis Energetika d.o.o. Sarajevo.

As part of the remaining agenda items of the session, the Draft Medium-Term Work Plan of the BiH Competition Council for the period 2025-2027 was adopted.
