The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a delegation from the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA), consisting of Haluk Recal Bostan, Vice President, and Cengiz Colak and Ridvan Duran, members of the TCA. During the meeting, mutual satisfaction with the successful cooperation was emphasized, with strong hope and commitment to its further improvement in the future.

In the modern economic environment, where markets are increasingly globalized, the role of competition law and policy is becoming inevitable. Therefore, the need to maintain and strengthen ties between institutions dealing with these issues is of strategic importance.
In this sense, the continuous and systematic exchange of relevant information, as well as valuable experience gained, has been recognized as a key element in the efficient suppression of prohibited agreements and all other forms of distortion of market competition. The above directly contributes to the strengthening of economic prosperity and the protection of consumer welfare.

A concrete example of the strong ties between the Competition Council of BiH and TCA is a joint workshop held in Sarajevo from 14 to 16 April this year. This three-day workshop is not only a symbol of cooperation, but also a practical mechanism for knowledge transfer and capacity building of officials from both institutions.

The discussion continued with a focus on the latest experiences and practices, with the aim of improving the regulatory frameworks and strengthening the capacities of both institutions in this important field.
