PRESS RELEASE RCC Seminar “Competition Assessment of Laws and Regulations” held in Sarajevo
International seminar in the field of competition law and policy titled “Competition Assessment of Laws and Regulations” was successfully held in Sarajevo in the period 12-14 September 2017.Organizerof the Seminar was OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) with the seat in Paris, France, i.e. its branch
RCC (Regional Center for Competition) with its seat in Budapest, Hungary, in cooperation with the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of 15 countries participated on this occasion: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kirgizstan, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia and Ukraine.
Topic of competition assessment in laws and regulations was discussed in details in the context of international standards and the Law on competition of Bosnia and Herzegovina and relevant regulations.
Seminar was opened by the President of the Competition Council Mr Ivo Jerkić, followed by lectures and discussions. Panelists at the Seminar were prominent experts with significant experience in the field of competition law: Ms Sabine Ziegelski, OECD, France, Mr. Michael Saller, OECD Mexico, Ms Lefkothea Nteka, and Commission for protection of Competition, Greece, Ms Jurate Soviene, Competition protection authority of Lithuania and Mr. Renatto Ferrandi, Competition protection authority, Italy. Specialists form the Competition Council of BiH also gave their contribution in the form of presentations from their practice and also through active participation.
