CONFERENCE MEET TO COMPETE COMPETITION LAW AND POLICY CONFERENCE “TOOLS FOR THE NEW RULES“
The President of the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivo Jerkić, a member of the Council, Vanja Malidžan, and expert advisors Aleksandra Dunjić and Kadina Karić participated in the workshop “Business Integrity and Anti-Corruption Policies” held on August 28 and 29, 2024 at the Blanka Hotel in Vlašić .
The workshop was organized by the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight Against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in accordance with the recently adopted Strategy for the Fight against Corruption 2024-2028. year.
The workshop presented, among other things, guidelines for a better understanding of prevention and response to corruption and the existing international and domestic framework in relation to building integrity in the private and public sector. Aleksandra Dunjić and Kadina Karić held a presentation on behalf of the Competition Council on the subject of collusion in public procurement from the perspective of the Law on Competition.
Certain steps were also taken with the aim of cooperation between the Competition Council and entity chambers of commerce and the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to bring the complex matter of market competition closer to business entities through joint activities, thereby contributing to a safer and more transparent business environment.
