
Cooperation established between the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina
A Cooperation Agreement between the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed today in Sarajevo. The aim of the Agreement is to establish partnership relations and joint action in promoting market competition.
By signing the Agreement, the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina committed to mutual cooperation in order to:
• present the role and work of the Competition Council to the business community,
• promote the rules, measures and procedures for protecting market competition,
• raise awareness among companies about market abuses, risks and protection mechanisms,
• provide practical guidelines for avoiding infrigements of competition law.
The Agreement was signed by the President of the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ninela Salihbašić, and the Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nedim Hamzić.
Following the signing ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss current economic challenges and plans for future joint activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of protecting market competition. The meeting was attended by the President and members of the Competition Council of BiH, as well as the Director and associates of the American Chamber of Commerce.
