PRESS RELEASE 3rd session

The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its 3rd session on February 22, 2023 in Sarajevo. The session was preceded by a working meeting.

Materials from the field of competition law and politics, as well as the internal work and functioning of the Competition Council, were discussed at the session.

A Decision was made that allows the individual exemption of the agreement from the prohibition of the Agreement on the appointment of the holder of the exclusive right to bottling with the amendment, with all accompanying additions and attachments, in the sense of Article 4, paragraph (3) and Article 5 of the Law on Competition. The Agreement was concluded on August 7, 2023, between the undertakings “PepsiCo” Inc. New York, USA and “Knjaz Miloš” a.d. Aranđelovac, Republic of Serbia, and the exemption is established for a period of 5 (five) years and begins to run from the date of conclusion of the Agreement.

As part of the remaining items on the session’s agenda, an internal act of the Competition Council was adopted, namely the Report on the executed list of claims and liabilities for the year 2023. Also, information was submitted on the state of the proceedings that are currently being conducted before the Competition Council.
