Future experts visit the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina
As part of its ongoing cooperation with the academic community, the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted today students from the Faculty of Law of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The visit was organized with the aim of providing practical training for future lawyers and introducing them to the specifics of protection of the market competition.
After an introductory greeting by the President of the Competition Council, Ninela Salihbašić, the meeting continued with a presentation by the Council’s employees on the competences and daily activities of this authority.
Building on the theoretical introduction to competition law, the focus of the presentation shifted to the practical aspects of the institution’s work, and in particular to the implementation of procedures, which was done through a detailed insight into the processing of cases and decision-making. The importance of Competition Advocacy activities was also emphasized, namely the key role of the Council in promoting a culture of free market competition in our country.
This visit was an excellent opportunity for future lawyers to learn first-hand about the mechanisms of free market protection. The guests gained a deeper insight into the role of the Council in ensuring equal conditions for all participants in market competition, which is crucial for the economic development of the country.
Direct insight into the work of institutions is crucial for the education of new generations of experts who will create the legal and economic environment of our country.
The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses its sincere gratitude to the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) for the interest shown in the work of the institution, with the wish that such successful cooperation with the academic community will continue in the future.
