The workshop brought together experts and representatives of competition authorities from eleven countries in the region. The aim of the meeting was to exchange best practices, experiences and challenges in the application of competition rules, with a special focus on preventing the abuse of dominant market position.

During the intensive two-day work program, participants had the opportunity to analyze specific cases from the practice of the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA), as well as comparative experiences of other participating countries. The program covered the following areas:

Discount systems and exclusive sales – Analysis through practical examples and TCA decisions in cases of large corporations (Novonesis, Unilever).
Measures related to exhibition space (display stands) – Discussions and experiences regarding restrictions on visibility and product positioning (cases Unilever, Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay).

A special panel was dedicated to presentations by visiting competition authorities, where representatives of the Competition Council, together with colleagues from other countries, actively participated in the discussion.
